Tapas to Increase Episode Prices for Older Webcomics

Tapas has announced that they will be increasing the per-episode price for older webcomics on their platform. Starting March 25, 2026, the new price for these webcomics will be 450 Ink (405 Ink with 1-Tap), up from the current 376 Ink (338 Ink with 1-Tap). However, there will be some exceptions made for series with longer episodes, contractual obligations, or specific publication status. The pricing change is aimed at ensuring fair wages for creators and partners, while also supporting the production of new content and investing in the growth of the platform. Despite the price increase, Tapas will continue to offer various ways for readers to access content for free, including the use of WUF (Wait Until Free), earning free ink through offers and surveys, and participating in events to earn bonus ink. Fans can also look forward to upcoming ink sales, with the next sale scheduled for April 3-5, 2026.
